This year is the year of renyin, which means that this year’s year of the tiger is dominated by the word “Ren”. “Ren” ranks ninth among the ten Heavenly stems, belonging to Yang and water. According to Shuowen, “Ren” is the same as “Ren”, which means that Yang Qi is used to support all things. It is also called “Huairen in the king”, which means that new life has begun to be born. In the year of renyin, the upper part is the Union and the lower part is the tiger, which means that life and all things are full of vitality, and it is a symbol of good harvest and auspiciousness. Therefore, there is a saying that “in the year of the tiger, there is no need to worry about food and clothing”.
